Two single malts will be released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Gaia Flow Co.

Black Adder Row Cask Single Malt Shizuoka 2018 3 Year Cask No. 781

Black Adder Row Cask Single Malt Shizuoka 2018 3 Year Old Cask No. 1357 100% Japanese Barley Aged in Japanese Wine Barrels

This release is from Black Adder, with whom we have had a partnership since the beginning. Two barrels were carefully selected by Robin Tucek, representative of Black Adder. This will be the first single cask release as Gaia Flow.

“Cask No. 1357” is the Shizuoka Distillery’s first special bottle of 100% domestic barley and Japanese wine barrels.

*Row cask means that it is cask strength, non-chill filtered, and non-colored. This is a common practice in Japanese whisky these days.

The distributor is Black Adder, but the whisky is Japanese whisky because it is prepared, aged, and bottled in Japan.

Lottery sales

The only way to apply for the lottery sales is to receive the March 29 “Whisky Port” newsletter. Remember to pre-register.

It seems that the only sales for the general public are the lottery sales for this newsletter distribution.

Because it is a single cask and the number of bottles sold in Japan is 60 in both cases, there will probably be no “right to purchase owner’s cask privileges” as was the case when Prologue K, Prologue W, and Contact S were released.
