The 9th “YOIYO” series “YOIYO <Akkeshi Distillery> Whisky Taisetsu” and the 10th “YOIYO Terrine <Akkeshi Distillery> Whisky Taisetsu” have been released from the [Japanese craft sake chocolate] sold by Lotte.
This is the third collaboration between Lotte and Akkeshi Distillery, who also collaborated on YOIYO No. 3 “Boshu” and YOIYO No. 4 “Ritto” in 2021.
The YOIYO series has collaborated with Mars Shinshu Distillery, Gaiaflow Shizuoka Distillery, Mars Tsunuki Distillery, and Sakurao Distillery before, but this is the first collaboration between YOIYO terrine and whisky in this tenth release. Since whisky is moistly kneaded into the terrine, it is as if the chocolate and whisky start singing together the moment you put it in your mouth. The presence that does not lose out to the heaviness of the chocolate terrine can only be found in the Akkeshi whisky.
There is a YOIYO present campaign again this time, and it seems that “Akkeshi Whisky Taisetsu” will be awarded to three people. Please check the following “4. ~Good night with YOIYO~ Akkeshi Whisky [Taisetsu] Present Campaign” as there are target products and application conditions.

YOIYO, the moment you bite into a piece of chocolate.
First you feel the liquor, and later the chocolate mixes with it to form a harmony.
In contrast, the terrine is moist and kneaded with whisky.
The chocolate and whisky sing together from the start.
The presence of the terrine is as strong as that of the chocolate terrine.
The presence of the whisky that does not lose out to the heaviness of the chocolate terrine can only be achieved by the strong individuality of Akkeshi whisky.

5. Review of target products
5-1. YOIYO <Akkshi Distillery> Whisky Taisetsu
We aimed to create a
A whisky with a slightly chipped flavor.According to blender Mr. Tatsuzaki, the important thing is to make the flavor lacking.
Because a whisky that tastes too good at the first sip is not a good whisky.
The distillery’s goal is to make a whisky that is somewhat smooth.
The distillery’s goal is to create a whisky that is somehow interesting, but not boring.
The first step is to create the most balanced state.
From there, they distort it a little, or shave it down a little.
The Akkeshi style is to evolve the whisky into a whisky that has a certain hook to it.

This is a book written by Mamoru Tsuchiya, a world-famous whisky critic and representative of the Whisky Culture Research Institute, titled “Japanese Whisky as a Culture that Works for Business” .
The book covers the basics of whisky, the introduction of whisky to Japan, the birth of Japanese whisky, advertising strategies and the rise of Japanese whisky, and the current rise of craft distilleries. This is a book that summarizes Japanese whisky in a very easy to understand way.
(3). Whisky and I (Masataka Taketsuru)
Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky, devoted his life to brewing whisky in Japan. This is a revised and reprinted version of the autobiography of a man who simply loved whisky and talked about himself. The book vividly depicts the days when he went to Scotland alone to study as a young man and overcame many hardships to complete Japanese whisky, as well as his companion, Rita.
(4). A Letter of Challenge from a New Generation Distillery
Launching in 2019. With the world experiencing an unprecedented whisky boom, what were the managers of craft distilleries thinking and what were their thoughts as they took on the challenge of making whisky? This book tells the stories of 13 craft distillery owners, including Ichiro Hido of Venture Whisky, famous for his Ichirose Malt, who inspired the birth of craft distilleries in Japan.
(5). Whiskey Rising
This is the Japanese version of Whisky Risng, published in the US in 2016, with much updated content.
